The Jinbei HI-5 is a compact retro-style on-camera speedlite designed for photographers who appreciate simple operation, classic aesthetics, and reliable manual flash control. With a 26Ws output, built-in battery, and single-pin hot shoe, it is compatible with cameras that support center-pin flash triggering.

Single-Pin Hot Shoe Compatibility

The HI-5 uses a single center-pin hot shoe and triggers via standard flash sync. It is compatible with cameras that support center-pin flash firing, including many models from Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus, Leica, and selected Canon cameras.

Not compatible with Canon cameras that do not support center-pin flash triggering, such as Canon EOS 2000D, 4000D, 250D, 850D, and similar entry-level models.

26Ws Flash Output & Manual Control

The HI-5 delivers a flash power of 26Ws with a guide number of GN16. Power is adjustable manually from full power down to 1/64, allowing precise exposure control for creative lighting and retro-style shooting.

Retro Dial Operation

The flash features a classic rotary dial system that combines exposure reference and power adjustment. The parameter wheel assists with distance, ISO, and aperture reference, while the power knob allows direct output adjustment.

Adjustable Flash Angle

The flash head angle can be adjusted to suit different shooting needs, making it easy to control light direction for portraits, street photography, and creative scenes.

Built-in Diffuser

The integrated diffuser softens the light output, helping to reduce harsh shadows and create a more even and natural-looking illumination, especially in close-range photography.

S1 / S2 Cell Sensor Modes

The Jinbei HI-5 is equipped with optical cell sensor modes and does not feature any radio triggering. When operating in manual (M) mode, the flash can be triggered optically by another flash using the built-in photosensitive sensor.

S1 Cell Sensor Mode: In M mode, set toggle 2 to the S1 position to activate optical slave mode 1. The HI-5 will fire in response to the first detected flash. Flash power is adjusted manually using the power knob.

S2 Cell Sensor Mode: In M mode, set toggle 2 to the S2 position to activate optical slave mode 2. In this mode, the HI-5 ignores the first pre-flash and fires on the main flash. Flash output is always adjusted manually using the power knob.

Built-in Rechargeable Battery

The built-in lithium battery supports more than 650 full-power flashes on a single charge. Charging is performed via USB Type-C, allowing convenient power replenishment from power banks or wall chargers.
